Combining the talents of Serena Fortier (vocals), Ray Holman (drums/vocals), Matt Fox (bass guitar), Jamey Zebrack (keys/vocals), Matty G (guitar), Mozard Pierre-Jacques (Trombone), Mike Farrell (Sax) and Nick Martino (trumpet), The New York Funk Exchange was born in the fall of 2007. The NYFE hails from Brooklyn, NY and has been performing their original music in front of hundreds of fans for almost two years.

NYFE in the Press
New York Funk Exchange is currently on tour for the winter promoting their debut CD, Funkonomic Stimulus Plan, which includes 15 Original tracks and features Downbeats “Acoustic Bass player of the year”Christian McBride on four of them. The album was recorded at the legendary Chung King & Avatar studios. The album is also available for purchase on iTunes and NYFE’s music can be heard on Pandora Radio.
NYFE just finished taping for FOX’s “Fearless Music” and will be a featured artist in 2010.
NYFE was selected in 2009 as the Sonic Bid’s performer at Camp Bisco 8, which included bands such as The Disco Biscuits, STS9, Nas, Damian Marley, among many other performers.
